A Week Of Little Things
Welcome back to the most unentertaining weekly update you could read. This week is no exception, but it was alright. Let's get to it.
Aug 10, 2020 Mon
Today was P-Day! We went to St. George and I got a haircut and Panda Express for lunch. I talked with fam which was good. I really love hearing about home. I do miss it a lot as it crosses my mind often, but I can wait another year or so till I can enjoy it again. I cleaned the apartment and relaxed. We had a member lesson that just turned into a gospel discussion which was really fun and interesting.
Aug 11, 2020 Tues
We had 4 lessons today and I edited the music video for Elders Gish and Saucier. They posted it on Facebook and we had fun doing it. I had a really good day today. (Btw the music video as I'm writing this has almost 7k views)
Aug 12, 2020 Wed
Today I woke up and felt like trash so I slept in a bit. We had a pretty great lesson at 10 then I went back to bed cause I still felt bad. When I woke up I felt a little better, so we did some contacting, then had a lesson at 7:00. These days are difficult cause there isn't a lot going on.
Aug 13, 2020 Thurs
Today was a mixed day. Contacting literally went no where, but we had 3 awesome lessons today. That's really all we did. Otherwise we hungout with other Elders to help pass time.
Aug 14, 2020 Fri
We only set up one lesson for next week and had no lessons today. Also De Voe was feeling dehydrated. But we had an great District Council meeting and had lunch as a District which was so awesome. The new guy Elder Fuergeson is Elder Knowles new comp and he's pretty cool. Not a lot today but it was still alright.
Aug 15, 2020 Sat
We joined Elders Saucier and Gish and helped some members in their area move in. Courtney Magill (Trent's sister) brought De Voe and I IN-N-OUT which was a moment that was oh so wonderful. After that we joined a Zone Devotional which was good. We also had District dinner which was great.

Today was very slow. We didn't know when our wards met for Sacrament so we missed it. We did have stake correlation meeting which went well, and set up two lessons this week.
Each day this week there was at least a little downtime, most days it's a lot, and that is something I don't want. It's nice to relax every once in a while, but not every day for hours at a time. That makes everything so much more difficult. But there are little things that are big to me. The In-N-Out I got, the awesome people we meet over Zoom, the emails I get from friends and family. Especially that last one. Everything adds up and makes each week better. We have been sharing a scripture In Mormon chapter 9 which says:
19 And if there were miracles wrought then, why has God ceased to be a God of miracles and yet be an unchangeable Being? And behold, I say unto you he changeth not; if so he would cease to be God; and he ceaseth not to be God, and is a God of miracles.
20 And the reason why he ceaseth to do miracles among the children of men is because that they dwindle in unbelief, and depart from the right way, and know not the God in whom they should trust.
21 Behold, I say unto you that whoso believeth in Christ, doubting nothing, whatsoever he shall ask the Father in the name of Christ it shall be granted him; and this promise is unto all, even unto the ends of the earth.
We have taught/reminded people miracles never cease when you are righteous enough to recieve or humble enough to ask for them. I have been asking, pleading for something to make the day better, an email, an awesome lesson, hope. We've also been teaching people that not only can we recieve miracles, but we can be other people's miracles. In this time everyone needs a tender mercy or two. So I challenge you all to do that. Think of someone who could use some love or a friend, and be that miracle for them. I know if you do you will be full of joy.
I promise this and share this in the name of Jesus Christ, amen.
I love you all, send me an email or two, and be safe.
