“Wherefore, ye must press forward”

Ok I was gone for a minute but I'm back now to tell about my week and how I've grown and gotten better.

Aug 24, 2020 Mon
Today was P-Day! Elder De Voe and I joined our District plus Elders Tui'one and Montierth on another hike up Mollies nipple. This time we went in the morning. It was much more fun. After that we cleaned up, got groceries, hungout, talked w/ fam, and hungout some more. We had a lesson reschedule and another doctrinal discussion.

Aug 25, 2020 Tues
Today was slow. No lessons, but we did schedule a couple for later in the week. It wasn't a crazy great day, but one upside... I recieved a package for my birthday.

Aug 26, 2020 Wed
Today was solid. We had good contacting and had two lessons. Then we hungout with the District at the end of the day.

Aug 27, 2020 Thurs
Today was my Birthday! I'm 19 baby! We had District Council Meeting (at which they sang happy Birthday to me) and then lunch afterwards where we had cake (at which they also sang happy birthday to me). We also got a new car. We traded the Equinox for the Elantra at the request of the vehicle coordinator. We had one lesson and had one bounce us. Then Gish made me dinner, chicken parmesan. Afterwards I called my parents and opened gifts. (Thank you to my friends that sent me stuff, that package slapped!)

We had a mixed bag today. It started solid, we had District Study on 2 Nephi 31-32 which was pretty good. We also had a lesson which was fun. After that we had nothing because our lesson bounced us so we just chilled.

Today was another day of ZIP on contacting and our lesson that was scheduled bounced us, so we had a fare amount of freetime. We joined the Zone Zoom Devotional, went on a walk, and hungout. We also had District Dinner which was such a blast.

Aug 30, 2020 Sun
Today no wards were Meeting for Sacrament, so Elders Nielsen and William's came over and we did the Sacrament together. Other than that we had a stake correlation meeting and got bounced by another lesson. I spent a lot of time working on a new scripture video as well as listening to talks.

This was a week of mixed emotions. I'm grateful that my Birthday was awesome and I thank all those who sent a package, message, or email saying happy birthday. But other than my Birthday this week was kinda rough. We had ten lessons Scheduled and half of them cancelled or bounced us. But what can you do but your best.
This has been a test of patience and to see how well I can be long suffering. If I can handle this, I'll be pretty confident in my abilities later in life.
During District Study on 2 Nephi 31-32 verse 20 stuck out to me;

20 Wherefore, ye must press forward with a steadfastness in Christ, having a perfect brightness of hope, and a love of God and of all men. Wherefore, if ye shall press forward, feasting upon the word of Christ, and endure to the end, behold, thus saith the Father: Ye shall have eternal life.

If I am to "endure to the end" of my mission I "must press forward with a steadfastness in Christ, having a perfect brightness of hope, and a love of God and of all men." And if I do this I can recieve blessings of eternal proportions. Pretty cool. But that doesn't just apply to me on my mission, it applies to all on the path of Discipleship. To them I say, "press forward with a steadfastness in Christ, having a perfect brightness of hope, and a love of God and of all men. Wherefore, if ye shall press forward, feasting upon the word of Christ, and endure to the end, behold, thus saith the Father: Ye shall have eternal life."
In the name of Jesus Christ, amen.

I love and miss you all dearly and I'm sorry I can't show my sarcasm as well in an email, but I hope you enjoyed anyway. Send me an email, I love you all and wish you well.
-Elder Bradford
