The Week of the Tripanionship
Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome to an underwhelming update by yours truly. For those of you who actually enjoy reading these, I'm sorry. Quarentine must have really gotten to you. haha. Anyways let's get started!
December 21, 2020 Mon
Today was P-Day! It was pretty low-key. We cleaned the apartment a bit, organized the ridiculous amount of food we're recieving, went on a hike to Snow Canyon w/ Hanson & Hardy, Gervasi & Whitemyer, and Campbell & Zaugg. It was good and it had a pretty view. After that I talked to fam, chilled and had a lesson w/ some members whose house was literally my dream house. It was massive and they had the nicest backyard and a ton of fun rooms, plus restored 66 and 69 Cadillacs.
December 22, 2020 Tues
Today we didn't have a lot. We did some studies, relaxed. We helped that same dude from Sacramento, McKay. Latapu and his Greenie Haas were there too. It was really fun, and it was good to see those guys. After that we were given Black Bear Diner for dinner and had a lesson bounce us. First time that's happened here.
December 23, 2020 Weds
Today we had a Christmas Devotional with our Zone and the Spanish South zone. It was pretty good. There were quite a few musical numbers, we read Luke 2, and President shared some Christmas thoughts. After that everyone made Fruit Baskets for thier Stake Presidents. We grabbed to-go lunches, then went off. Before we left I grabbed a couple pictures with Nielsen and with Butler because I won't see either of them before I leave. I also used Gish's clerk office to print my visa form. After all that we took our fruit basket over to our Stake President, then came back to the apartment. We also picked up a lot of Christmas packages from the mission office, Merry Christmas to us! Once back we did a little contacting, We had one lesson which was so fun, and relaxed for a bit.
December 24, 2020 Thurs

Today was Christmas! I slept in a bit, then opened presents (which I recorded for my parents), got some good stuff! We chilled a lot, relaxed and played some games. ***He was at the church building when we got to speak to him. They had been playing with the nerf guns while there. Fortunately Elder Bradford already had one nerf gun and so the trio all had something to play with. He seemed to be in good spirits and was able to video chat with us and some of his grandparents but he is definitely looking forward to having Christmas at home next year.***

Today was pretty good. We did our morning schedule and a little bit of contacting. It was a very unbusy day, but we did have a lesson with one of my favorite familes, the Robinsons. I have scheduled some lessons with my favorite familes before I leave and this was the first! I have really enjoyed my time here and will miss it very much!
December 27, 2020 Sun
Today was my last sunday in St. George, and it was a good one. I saw some people at church and said goodbye to some awesome members. We went to 3 wards all together. We had a couple member lessons tonight. One of them was with another one of my favorite families, the Hendrix! The more we meet with people the more I realize I'm leaving!
Recently in my studies I've been reading another “Teachings of the Presidents”, this one is of Ezra Taft Benson! During one of my studies this week I read,
"the Lord will bless more fully the man who works for what he prays for than He will the man who only prays."
This just kinda stuck out to me and I have found that to be true. Not just by my experience, but also in the scriptures. Does "Faith without works is Dead" sound familiar to anyone?
But something I like about the quote from President Benson is that it doesn't say that prayer alone will do nothing, because that is simply not the case. But when we work to obtain what we prayed for, the Lord feels more entitled to bless and help us. The Lord loves effort, so when we put forth our best effort in our endevors to be better, in any way, the Lord loves it.
No amount of work is in vain. Every little thing counts. The Lord appreciates even the smallest efforts we do, and will help us with the rest. This I promise in the name of Jesus Christ, amen.
I love you all and am grateful for your love and support! Hope you had a very Merry Christmas! And don't worry, I'll be with y'all next year! Love you and I love hearing from you!

***Elder Bradford leaves for Uganda early on January 1st! He will have another crazy 24 hour travel day in which we anticipate hearing from him during his layovers in Atlanta and Amsterdam. Fortunately he won’t be traveling alone. We know of a few other Elders who he will be meeting up with in Atalnta. It’s hard to believe this is actually happening and that our next letter from him will be coming from somewhere in Uganda or Rwanda. Thanks for your love and prayers and for supporting our boy. ***
